Electric Super car from China

When we talk about electric cars most peoples know about Tesla and Nissan leaf. I think what these people from NIO are making much more interesting car than all the Teslas' current lineup of cars. So this article is for talking about that car.

NIO...?    If you don't know about NIO let me educate you about it. Is basically a car manufacturing company. There are two things special about them. They are From China and They make Electric Cars. There is a very important car that they makes. It's called EP9. Now you'll ask me what makes this car special. Let me give some stats about this car.

NIO EP9 Statistics

• 0 to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds 
• 0 to 200km/h in 7.1 seconds
• 0 to 300 km/h in 15.9 seconds
• Power output of 1,341 hp(1 MW)
• 427 km Range

These stat will give you a good idea about this car. In case If it didn't, below time duration with respect to the tracks will help you to understand how fast this car is.

• Nürburgring Nordschleife track - 6:45.90
• Circuit Paul Ricard track - 1:52.78
• Circuit of the Americas track - 2:11.30, 2:40.33
• Shanghai International Circuit track - 2:01.11

As you can see this car completed Nürburgring in under seven minutes. There are only few cars done this, And this is the only electric car. This car is entirely made out of carbon fiber but its not exactly light weight since it has two massive battery packs and they weigh 364 kg each. That bring up the total weight of the car to 1,735 kg. But it have good power to weight ratio 773hp per Ton. Its closest competitor Rimac concept ONE has only 644hp per Ton. 

In TV show The Grand Tour Season 03 the presenter Richerd hammond tested the EP9 this and the earlier season he also tested the Rimac Consept ONE. As he said "It's astonishingly fast". 

Again to compare how powerful this car lets take Honda civic type R as a example, Type R also has a Nürburgring record for Front wheel drive cars at 7min 43.8s. Its engine produce 316hp for most cars that is not bad, In NIO EP9 it produces 325.25hp by its each motor and their are one for each wheel. That's so impressive and I'm happy to say that's how the future of the car industry gonna be.
