This may be old story for you if you are a fan of Elon Musk. Elon Musk the CEO of Tesla planning spread fleet of satellites around the globe to cover the whole world with Internet. Already he has requested from US government to give him permission to execute this. His aim is not only to give free WiFi but also to build a city on Mars. He has planned to send more 4000 satellites around the globe.
The SpaceX company which is a privateer space company led by Musk Requested from US government to launch 800 satellites initially to cover the US. And SpaceX said: “The system is designed to provide a wide range of broadband and communications services for residential, commercial, institutional, government and professional users worldwide.”.
The project will be based in the Seattle branch of SpaceX, where he announced the project, and will initially recruit 60 people although that will number will grow with time. And also Musk said “We want the best engineers that either live in Seattle or that want to move to the Seattle area and work on electronics, software, structures, and power systems,”.
Musk is not the only one who tried this at all. Google has been attempting to perform a similar by using high-altitude balloons. Facebook’s other internet initiatives have revolved around the use of high-altitude solar-powered drones.
