Body
When we talk about the body of these two phones, the front is made out of glass called Dragon trails. and the rear part is made out of Poly-carbonate, unlike the all-glass Pixel 3 and 3 XL. The polycarbonate body is the first hint of the cost-cutting measures Google has taken to shrink the Pixel 3’s flagship price down to midrange levels. pixel 3a is 5.6 inches and pixel 3a XL is 6 inches in display size. so if you want a larger display with a big battery and a top-notch you can choose 3a XL.
Camera
Pixel phones have a high rating when it comes to camera performance. so these two phones also have 12.2MP main camera and 8.0MP selfie camera. In addition to capturing truly beautiful photos, you can also use Google's Night Sight mode to take great pictures in low light environments and take advantage of popular features such as Time Lapse and Photobooth Mode. We will see captures of the best photos of any smartphone we've ever seen in the near future.
OS
If we talk about the OS, both phones are Up-gradable to the latest version android Pie. And if we want, we can try Android Q beta. the design of these phones come with three colors which are black, white and brand new color purple-ish.

Additional to the above features, 3a phones have 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers same as previous versions, Rear fingerprint sensor, type C 1.0 reversible connector, etc. as well as these phones have a non-removable Li-Po battery(3a-3000mAh and 3a XL- 3700mAh). According to reviews 3a can use without charging for a day without a problem.
What are the drawbacks?
let's talk about the disadvantages of these two phones. The first thing is it has a Slow processor when compared with phones like One plus 7. because pixel 3a and 3a XL are made from Qualcomm SDM670 Snapdragon 670 (10 nm) processor. the other things are these two phones have No wireless charging and water resistance. I think wireless charging unavailability is not a big deal. because it has a fast charging feature. So just need to plug the phone in for an hour when you need it and it is back in the game.
How about the price?
At last, let's talk about the price. pixel 3a is in the 400$ price range and pixel 3a XL is in the 480$ price range. In Sri Lanka pixel 3a and 3a XL are not available yet. but Techmart has announced their prices as 3a Rs.79900 and 3a XL Rs.89900.Whether you get the Pixel 3a or larger 3a XL, these are two of the best mid-range Android phones we've seen so far in 2019. The camera performance is no competition for anything in this price range. But if having a fast processor and more memory is a priority, get the OnePlus 6T instead.
